Let's Prevent Eating Disorders Together!
PreventED
About Us
Welcome to PreventED, an eating disorder prevention service. Our services aim to bring awareness to eating disorders and disordered eating, with the hope of reducing the risk of developing difficulties with food. We provide evidence-based workshops and talks which have been found to be successful in reducing the onset of eating disorders.

Meet the Founders
Rebecca & Sophie
PreventED was founded by Rebecca Latham, RD, and Sophie Killip, MBACP. Rebecca is a registered dietitian with a masters degree in eating disorders from UCL. Rebecca has worked with both adults and adolescents across various different settings, including the private sector and the national health service. Sophie is a qualified therapist with a masters degree in clinical mental health counselling. Sophie has worked in inpatient, residential, and outpatient eating disorder treatment centres in England, Canada, and the US.
Sophie and Rebecca are great friends who met whilst working together for an inpatient service in the north west of England. They saw first-hand how eating disorders were impacting individuals and families' lives. During lunch breaks, Rebecca and Sophie would talk about how they could make an impact within communities as well as on an individual level. And so PreventED was born!
Sophie and Rebecca are still actively supporting those suffering with an eating disorder through different services across the country. However, they want to create a space for education and awareness to prevent eating disorders. PreventED is what they are passionate about. Why treat an eating disorder when you can prevent one in the first place?
Their aim is to help individuals build a healthy relationship with food, challenge diet culture, and improve self-esteem and confidence. They hope this will enable individuals to have the headspace they deserve and to allow for a fulfilled life.
